3.    Sunday 18th September - Open Retriever Working Test & AV Novice Spaniel

Venue – Combe, Brushford, Dulverton.

4.     Sunday 17th July – Puppy am – Novice pm (incorporating young handler) Retriever Working Test

Venue – Deer Park, Filleigh

Entry fee: £6.00 per dog. Additional entry forms available from the Club website.

Separate cheque for each dog and each test - payment with entry form please.

Directions to venues will be sent with running orders. Members who wish to receive running orders before the event must enclose a stamped addressed envelope or write e-mail address (legibly please) on each entry form.

 

Raffle prizes will be much appreciated.


Points Win Prices

This year we will be running a competition sponsored by Skinners Petfoods, the winner of which will be given a Skinners Fleece, with their name embroidered on the chest and a bag of Field & Trial Turkey & Rice which is exclusively formulated to include joint aid for dogs. The way this works is that over the working test season the winner of each test will get 12 points, the second 6 points, the third three points and fourth one point, the one with the greatest accumulation of points at the end of the year is the winner.

 

Class Definition

Puppy: Confined to dogs less than 18 months of age at the date of the test.

 

Novice: Confined to dogs of any age not having won: a Field Trial Award, or 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an Open Test or 1st in any other Test (Puppy and Novice Dog/Novice Handler are discounted for this purpose)

 

Novice Dog/Novice Handler: Neither dog nor handler to have won any award, including commendation at a Field Trial or 1st, 2nd or 3rd, in any Open or Novice Working Test. This includes a Puppy Test but not Junior Handler.

 

Open: Open to all dogs

 

Dogs may be allowed to enter any Working Test on a Not for Competition (NFC) basis at the discretion of the relevant Working Test Secretary, by arrangement prior to the day of the event
